Celebrating Three Years of Community!

Wow wow wow. Today we celebrate Chapter Harmony's THIRD year of community. The amount of gratitude that I feel right now -- šŸ˜„

Can I share something with you?

Three years ago -- January 26th 2019, I remember laying across my bed, in my very very small Brooklyn bedroom, of my very very small Brooklyn apartment. It was a Saturday afternoon and I could hear both of my roommates chatting and moving around as I decided it was time to post the launch of Chapter Harmony on my personal Instagram page. I knew I needed to hurry and post, because I had to soon get ready for my 3pm shift at the bar I worked at down the street.

I had no idea what I wanted Chapter Harmony to become.
I didn't even know I wanted Chapter Harmony to become anything.

Chapter Harmony began as a virtual vision board, something personal to me and my own journey as I was in the middle of figuring out what I wanted career and relationship-wise; while also trying to figure out what made me happy. Iā€™ve always been a ā€œmaster manifestorā€ ā€” someone who completely dialed into the law of attraction and having incredibly crazy faith to pursue anything; like moving to NYC after grad school or manifesting working at Combs Enterprises or SiriusXM. Iā€™ve always been vocal about what I wanted and hyper-focused until I received it. Then I noticed, what I thought I wanted was completely NOT it, at all ā€” surely, I deserved more than this, right? I then stopped trying to manifest the things that I ā€œwantedā€ and started leaning into how I wanted to feel, and what I believed I deserved.

I don't just want to be on television or the radio and work hours and hours while having to pick up a bartending job to pay my rent all while dealing with passive aggressive comments from my boss who wants me to continuously prove my worth. Chile.

I don't want to just get married or be in a relationship -- I want to feel intimacy and passion every single day. I want a partner. I want a love that my children and my ancestors can be proud of -- that I can be proud of. I want someone who allows me to rest in my femininity.

I want EASE. HARMONY. I want to be able to rest when I want to rest. I want to be able to wake up to the sun shining on my window.

I can go on and on.

I want my life to feel good. Delicious. & I want to breathe through it all and soak every breath in! I deserve that. You deserve that!

Chapter Harmony quickly went from a personal vision board as I began navigating these newfound feelings I wanted to have, to a beautiful community of Black women who are also on their own personal journey of manifesting the life they DESERVE, and of Black men who are in complete support of Black women controlling their own narrative and manifesting the life they deserve.

I've learned that the hardest part is truly believing youā€™re deserving. In my own personal journey, I realized I didnā€™t truly believe I deserved the career I wanted, along with the pay I deserved, along with the divine love I wanted, along with getting enough rest at night and being mentally stable ā€” surely, I had to sacrifice something. Media, history, family dynamics, etc. doesnā€™t make this narrative easier. Chapter Harmony promotes content that forces Black women to believe they can have it all. Because why not? What started off as just a personal vision board to reaffirm myself, has become something so beautiful and something I am so incredibly proud of.

Today, we celebrate THREE years of community. We've grown our following to over 17,000 and I just -- WOW.

One of my favorite things so far about this journey is how God hasn't stopped fueling my creativity with this mission. I am so honored to have been trusted with a platform this beautiful.

Three years later, I'm at a job that continuously AFFIRMS me. One that is full of EASE and deep breaths. I've moved in to my first one-bedroom apartment -- THEE apartment of my dreams, okay -- where I get the luxury of romanticizing my life every single opportunity I get. I've fell deeply deeply in love with myself in a way that I can't even begin to explain.

And it's simply because I started believing I deserved it.

Thereā€™s plenty more that I'd like to accomplish and do/see happen in my life this year -- but I am very content in breathing in the beautiful air of this very moment.

So, let's celebrate!
To add to our Affirmative wear -- because we believe the best way to change our mindset is to continuously affirm ourselves of our new truth. So when we wear our affirmations we are consciously shifting.

So.. here's what's next -- Chapter Harmony's Affirmative Wall Art.

Our first piece is officially available now as a digital download.
